How to spend time in Himarë
Himarë is an old town on a hill and a set of beaches below: stone houses above, Spile and Livadhi at sea level, and a Riviera road that is not the same as the swim page at /beach/himara/. This cluster stays under /cities/himara/.
On the Ionian Riviera south of Llogara, north of Saranda. Buses crawl in summer. The old town is a climb or a short drive above the shore hotels. Do not file this guide under the beach URL; that path stays the swim page.
June and September for water without the crush. July–August the shore road is a queue. Winter is a village with closed umbrellas. Gjipe needs feet or a boat, not a city-bus fantasy.
Skip famous-people lists here; we do not invent ten Himarë-born celebrities. Beaches stay on the topic list. Museums and parks are not the point of this cluster.
Dhërmi and Vlorë sit north of the pass logic; Saranda and Ksamil sit south. Porto Palermo is a named nearby castle.

Two altitudes
Sleep in the old town if you came for stone and quiet. Sleep on Livadhi or Spile if swimming is the holiday. Mixing them without a plan is a taxi tax.
